Membership Requirements
Applicants must have a child between 4.5 - 18 years of age.
Provide evidence of a home education exemption or intention to home edcuate by providing a birth certificate.
Complete the membership form.
Pay the memebrship fee.
New Membership
Joining
Canterbury Home Educators
is easy and we'd love to have you as a member.

A response is likely within 7-14 days.
Please allow additional time during holiday periods.
Successful applications will recieve a membership number.
Once a membership number is recieved you are welcome to join the members area of the website, access the library and join the members group on facebook.
All memberships expire 30 June and require renewal on or before 01 July of each year as per our constitution.
Membership Renewal
Membership renewals are for previous members of Cantebury Home Educators and we're excited to have you join us.
Simply complete the
Pay the membership fee.
A response is likely within 7 days.

Once you have recieved confirmation of your renewal you will be able to access the website members area, CHE library and CHE members facebook group.
All memberships expire 30 June and require renewal on or before 01 July of each year as per our constitution.
Membership Cancellation
You may be required to cancel your membership if you no longer hold a vaild home education expemption.
Please complete the
online cancellation form.
We hope your memberhsip with Canterbury Home Educators has been memorable and that your future endevours are successful.
Should you wish to renew your membership in the future it would be wonderful to have you join us again.

Information
Membership Duration
The duration of membership is annual commencing on the date of joining in each year and concluding on 30 June (so that membership is always 12 months or less). See section 13.3 CHE Constitution.
Fee structure
Fee structure for joining or renewing during anytime of the year is:
01 Jun to 30 Nov $30
01 Dec to 30 May $15
Payment
Payment is to be made to Canterbury Home Educators Inc.
Kiwibank account number: 38-9012-0119560-000
using your surname or if renewing your membership number as a reference.
New Members
New membership applications must provide supporting documentation in the form of an exemption or birth certificate, if an exemption is yet to be received.
A copy is to be emailed to membership@che.org.nz
Membership Process
1. Apply online using the online membership application form.
2. Supply supporting document(s).
3. Pay the appropriate membership fee.
Once all three steps have been completed the application is considered by the Membership Secretary and you will be contacted via email.
Once an application, payment and supporting documentation is received please allow up to 14 days to process your application during school terms. Applications made during holiday periods may take longer.
Terms & Conditions
As part of the application you will be asked if you have read and agree to the Constitution of Canterbury Home Educators Inc. and the Behavior Policy.
