About the event
The Beach Ed course offers practical water skills and safety education in a real beach setting, tailored for students from Year 0 to 8 (ages 5 to 13). If you have children outside this age range, please get in touch, and we can discuss options with Surf Lifesaving NZ.
What to Expect:
- Hands-on learning through clubhouse, beach, and water activities.
- Key life-saving skills, including how to identify and escape rip currents.
- Engaging and safe ocean activities guided by fully qualified Surf Lifeguards.
- Learning aligns with the principles and competencies of The New Zealand Curriculum and Water Skills for Life.
This full-day interactive course is a fantastic opportunity for your child to gain essential beach safety skills while having a great time!
Beach Ed is delivered in a controlled and safe manner. All of the instructors are fully qualified Surf Lifeguards who have also completed a course on safeguarding children.
