At the core of Canterbury Home Educators Inc. is a strong network of families committed to educating their children and forming connections between their families. Parents can enjoy contact with other parents and children and make firm friendships for life.
"Nurture the love of learning alongside your children."
Canterbury Home Educators Inc. is a network of home educating families, and a registered charity, in the Canterbury region of New Zealand. We are an Incorporated Society, with an overall leadership committee made up of volunteer home educating parents who are members of CHE.
As a network of dedicated parents, our purpose is to provide connections, support and advocacy to help meet the needs of homeschooling families in Canterbury, New Zealand. Member families have children of school age (5-18) and can come from any background, culture or educational style. Everyone is welcome!
If you are interested in getting started with CHE, one of the best ways is to come along to one of our regular information meetings. Remember to ask lots of questions!
Home Education Information Meetings are the primary contact point for all new home educators, and those interested in finding out more about home education. This is the place to come to ask questions, find out more about the 'ins and outs' of home education, talk about issues that concern you, and receive help with exemptions, or pending reviews.
Please contact us to find out when the next meeting is on.
If you are interested to join CHE now, just download our Membership form, and send it in and complete payment via the Internet as per the form.
