Canterbury Home Educators Inc. (CHE) is an incorporated society of home educating families working in the Canterbury region, to promote and support home education. We currently have a membership of approximately 140 families.
CHE operates as a parent co-operative - i.e: run by parents for parents and, as such, needs it's members involvement to be effective.
Although home educating is a self-directed and
self-motivating activity, there are many opportunities to meet other home
educating families when you attend any of the parent-run activities
and many friendships are built up in this way.
CHE is a member group
of the National Council of Home Educators of New Zealand.
